How to vote for the map:

1. Download Discord
2. Go to the link Contractors Discord Channel
3. Accept the invite
4. Look for Azovstal and click on the little flame in #mod-map-voting.

Instructions:

Death will take those who jump out of the highest buildings, but jumping from some mid to high height spots is accepted and encouraged.

The windows in the main destroyed building are not suitable to get through but you can shoot through them.

The main reload spots are in the higher rooftops with floor signs. More will be added soon.

You can shoot through the upper floor gratings in the Warehouse.

Shaded spots are there for a reason. Use them well.

Cloths have no collision. They are good to hide and shoot through.

Reload areas appear as spinning ammo boxes, You just need to position yourself inside them and fetch a magazine.

Credits:

All buildings have been made from scratch in Unreal Engine and Blender by JJ Román. Main destroyed building has been also modified in Blender and Unreal simulating a bomb attack.
Sound effects in the generator room are made from scratch with modular analog synths. All sounds have been edited by JJ Román.
All the objects, props, gaps and meshes have been carefully adjusted be as accurate as possible for combat (collision, location, etc.) so walking on them feel as real as possible.
There are like 150 to 200 material and material instances in the map, all optimized and created one by one for smooth performance.
There are some learnt tricks applied to the heavy polygon areas so the game feels smooth from all sides and angles.
The colour palette has been tailored manually, no post processing. It was inspired by George Miller´s Mad Max: Fury Road film.
The lights and shades have been set up carefully to enhance game inmersion. Shaded areas have been kept on purpose to add to gameplay strategy.
I don´t like bright toyish looking maps, they make my eyes bleed and make the environment look cheap. I don´t like poor collision management either, that´s why every single object in the map has its collision remade or optimized and the lightmaps have been taken care of to find the perfect balance between rich quality looks and performance.

- Added some lightning in the pipe exterior area.

- Re-optimized meshes in polygon heavy areas.
- Adjusted control point in the Warehouse office area.

Update #3:

- Fixed windows in Warehouse Office rooms. You can now shoot through them all.
- Improved audio environment.
- Added original sound designed loops to the Generator room.
- Added kill zones around the Spiral Tower building. There is only one thin squared spot you can go through jumping from the scaffold to the floor without dying.

Update #2:

- Exterior base; added some boxes for cover on the attacking spot.

- Added some lights on the exterior catwalks.

Update #1:

- TDM, Comp-control, Control and Domination are fully implemented.

This map is part of the Contractor$ VR mod contest.
A platform-ish VR FPS.
90% of the map has personalized collisions so you can shoot through gratings and steps.
The colour palette used is inspired by George Miller´s Mad Max Fury Road.
The map is based in the Azovstal factory in South-Eastern Ukraine. It was planned to be a bigger map but I have compressed it all in a smaller space. I have kept some good spots for sniping on the rooftops though.
there will be updates with some aesthetical changes and I'm open to suggestions about game modes. The map is prepared for a future expansion with an underground level after the contest.
